1. HowTo Submit an Assignment

Description

There are many different ways to turn in assignments to Moodle, but the most common way is when an instructor creates an Assignment Activity. This activity allows students to either a) upload a file (essay, photo, etc.) or b) type directly into the Moodle interface. This video will demonstrate both methods.

In essence, you must:
  1. Login to the MHU Moodle web site
  2. Scroll down to the 'My courses' area, and click the desired course
  3. Find and select the Assignment Activity in question - contact your instructor if you cannot find it
  4. Click 'Add submission' and either a) upload your file or b) enter your assignment in the text box

2. HowTo Post to a Forum

Description

Moodle forums are a great way to facilitate discussion between students and instructors. Often instructors will have you post to a forum - and maybe reply to your peers - as a class requirement.

To start a forum discussion:
  1. Login to MHU's Moodle site and click on the desired course.
  2. Find and select the Forum indicated by your instructor
  3. Click the 'Add a new discussion topic' and type your post
  4. Click the 'Post to forum' button when finished
To reply to a forum post:
  1. Login to MHU's Moodle site and click on the desired course
  2. Find and select the Forum indicated by your instructor
  3. Find the post to which you would like to reply, and click the 'reply' link.
  4. Enter your post, and click 'Submit'

3. Using Zoom

The following videos will be an introduction on how to use the Zoom application.

3.1. HowTo Join a Zoom Meeting

Description

A Zoom meeting is a way for you to video conference with your instructor. Your instructor will need to provide a link to the Zoom meeting, and maybe a passcode for security purposes.

Click on that link, and you will be directed to the Zoom site to download the Zoom application.

3.2. Configuring Audio and Video

Description

This video will show you how to adjust your Zoom audio and video controls.
